FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions . . .

How is this program different than Infant Safety First (ISF) swim programs?

The ISF program is a very valuable method that teaches children to float on their backs for up to 5 minutes in case of water immersion. It is then hoped that this is enough time for someone to find the child and rescue them. Though this program has saved many lives, the fact is that 5 minutes is often not enough time for the child to be found and rescued.

Our program ensures your child’s safety by teaching them to swim to the edge of a pool and climb out of it themselves. This is a critical life-saving difference and it is the main distinction that sets Ms. Cathy’s Safety-First Survival Swim Program apart from other infant swim and safety programs.
